General Secretary , Rural Development Consortium (RDC), - founded by Late Pannalal Dasgupta, great revolutionary leader and later a Gandhian reformer. It is a pioneer networking, support service and training organization of Eastern India, having 200 member organizations.

Since January 1986 Sri Sanyal has been editing 'Jatiya Samachintan' a leading monthly journal on art, culture, literature as well as educational and health related articles and has thus been associated with the elites, intellectuals and litterateurs of the State by publishing their articles. He also contributed articles on developments to various journals and edited several books.
